Weekend Photo Dump + A Grocery Haul

October 18, 2015

Happy Sunday!

We have been experiencing some stellar weather down here in Georgia. The past weekend has been a combo of sunshine and 60-something-degree weather – the perfect fall temps in my book.

The last few days have included tons of friend time, football, and delicious food. I haven’t shared any weekend update posts in a while, so I thought it would be fun to do a quick weekend photo dump!

new recipe to come! the perfect snack-sized chia seed pudding.

After Friday and Saturday’s festivities, I kicked my productivity in gear this morning for a day of cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, a 2 mile walk, and a Pure Barre class.

I was extra jazzed about this week’s grocery haul, so I wanted to share it on the blog. In case you haven’t been able to tell from prior grocery haul/recipe posts, my apartment has pretty heinous natural lighting, so I took this haul on the back porch to brighten things up. This is also where I take the majority of my pictures!

… Food blogger problems.

Trader Joe’s

Some of this week’s green produce- kale, organic broccoli florets, brussels sprouts, & avocado. I usually buy a head of broccoli, but was feeling extra lazy today so I picked up some pre-chopped.

Produce continued – baby bell peppers, bananas, pre-cut butternut squash, red onion, and a pomegranate. Again with the pre-cut… TJ’s is a veggie-chopping life saver!

A bag of honeycrisp apples (loving these lately), sweet potatoes, organic tempeh, and a big ole’ container of raspberries. I’m trying to mix-up my lunches more, so I’m intending on incorporating some baked sweet potatoes into the mix. Pics to come!

Eggs, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, tuna, snow peas, and Larabars. Fun fact – I haven’t had canned tuna in YEARS. Last weekend I had a delicious apple cider vinegar/dill tuna salad from Farm to Ladle and have been craving it ever since. I’m not sure exactly what I’m going to do with it, so feel free to send suggestions my way!

Dark chocolate honey mints (inspired by my friend May!), coconut chips, and flax and chia peanut butter. I’m really excited to try these chocolate mints as a post-lunch treat. Added bonus – they only have 3 ingredients!

Whole Foods

The main purpose of my Whole Foods haul was to hit up their killer bulk bins. Rolled oats, cashews, organic edamame, and Hilary’s Eat Well veggie burgers! When picking up the edamame, I saw that Hilary’s ware on sale 2 for $6 – so I had to stock up!

I also got lunch from the salad bar, pictured in my photo dump. 🙂

What’s in your grocery bags? Anything yummy?

I use my back deck for the majority of my photos too! Other than that the lighting in my kitchen isn’t the greatest either. In the winter when my back deck is covered in snow it gets real frustrating to take a nice food pic. #Foodbloggerproblems is real girl.
